Betty has over 30 years of executive level human resources, sales, marketing and management experience in the private sector, which includes 18 years with the Gulf Oil Corporation and 15 years in the Temporary Staffing Industry.  Presently, she works as the part time office manager for the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta in Rockdale County.  And, her volunteer hours are too many to count.

Throughout her career, she has been a member of and held numerous offices and positions in many business and civic organizations.  Memberships include:

• The Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce, and is a 1997 Graduate of Leadership Rockdale.
• The Rockdale Rotary Club
• The Snapfinger Woods Business Association
• The Board of Directors for the A. R. “Gus” Barksdale Boys and Girls Club
• The Human Resources Advisory Committee for U. S. Congressman Lynn Westmoreland
• The National Society for Human Resource Management -  An Honorary Member of the local chapter…. served as the Leadership Chair for the Georgia SHRM State Council in 2004 and 2005

In January 2005, out of 7,000 members in the State of Georgia, she was awarded the First Legacy Award given by the Georgia SHRM State Council.
