In Memory Of

Mr. Terry Beaty, age 67 of Conyers, proud of being a 10-year survivor of lung cancer, went to be with the Lord February 3, 2010 after losing a courageous battle with COPD.  Terry was born in Toccoa, GA and raised in Buford until he moved to the Atlanta area.  He graduated from North Druid Hills High School and attended ABAC in Tifton for 2 years.  Terry was a dedicated fleet tire salesman working with Atlanta General Tires, Action Tires and TCI until he opened his own business, Terry Tires in 2002.  His passion for the outdoors led him to have "Muddy Run Hunting Club" for 30 years until his declining health.  He loved deer hunting, fishing on Jackson Lake at his home there and being with his family.  Terry is preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Duncan Roberts in May of 2009.  He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; children, Stacey McCall (Earl), Todd Beaty, Susan Nolan, David Pruiett; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; much loved cousins; aunt and uncle, Ethelene and Bonnie Harris.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Scot Ward's Harry White Chapel with Rev. William Clayton officiating; interment will be at 4 p.m. at the old Sardis Methodist Churchyard in Buford.  Family will receive friends Friday, February 5, 2010 from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Muddy Run Hunting Club will be honorary pallbearers.  Scot Ward Funeral Services - Harry White Chapel, 1299 Milstead Ave., Conyers, GA 30012, 770-483-7216.
