In Memory Of

Lillie Byrd, age 84, of  Conyers, died Saturday, June 27, 2009.  Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by her husband, Barney T. Byrd.  She is survived by daughters, Martha Ann Hopkins, Covington, Joyce Robinson, Conyers; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; life-long friend, Elizabeth Dailey, Conyers.   Mrs. Byrd was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church and a past member of VFW Auxiliary.  She retired from Ace Hardware after 20 years of service and loved to travel.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Scot Ward’s Harry White Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mackie Hawkins and Pastor Larry Phillips officiating; interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.scotward.com.  Scot Ward Funeral Services – Harry White Chapel, 1299 Milstead Ave., Conyers, 30012, 770-483-7216.
