Clarice Watson

Ms. Clarice H. Watson, age 82 of Conyers, Georgia transitioned into the next life on Sunday, August 6, 2023 surrounded by her family and friends, and with her beloved dog Sophie by her side. A native of St. Mary Jamaica, Ms. Watson was born on February 10, 1941. the daughter of the late Vincent Watson and Beatrice Thompson. As a devoted Catholic Ms. Watson was a proud member of St. Pius X Catholic church here in Conyers. Clarice was known as a caring person, who loved fiercely, a social butterfly at any function she attended, but didn�t stand for any nonsense. She always enjoyed traveling throughout her life. Ms. Watson moved to Conyers from New York as a retired claims manager for Liberty Mutual Insurance. In her downtime, Clarice was a member of the Rockdale Senior Center where she dominated the ping-pong tournaments and played dominoes and Rummikub. Ms. Watson was also known for her love of music, particularly Byron Lee and the Dragonaires band. Clarice was proceeded in death by a brother, Michael Watson, and two sisters Elvira Mason and Maria Del Fosse. Survivors include her beloved son, Gary Fairweather; two sisters: Lea Campbell and Elaine Stennett; two brothers: Lenny Watson, and Antonio Labarr; four grandchildren: Sean, Christopher, Chanelle, and Cody; five great grandchildren: Harmony, Brianna, Gabrielle, Mariah, and Sean Jr. Special mention to a beloved niece Sonia Wesley and special friends Christine Chuck, Willie and Velma Williams. Last but not least, her puppy, Sophie, whom she adored. Funeral services for Ms. Watson will be conducted on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 2 PM at the Green Meadow Chapel of Scot Ward Funeral Home located at 699 American Legion Rd. Conyers, GA Tel.:(770)483-7216. The viewing will be 12pm-2pm. Deacon Freddie Johns of St. Pius church will be officiating the service. Cremation will follow on Monday, August 14, 2023. After the service, family and friends will get together for the repass to celebrate her life and spirit. This will be held at the family home located at 1465 Queenie Smith Rd., Conyers, GA.
