Celebrate the Life Of Annabel Lee Vickery September 17, 1933 - September 26, 2024 Ann (Annabel) Lee Vickery age 91, passed away peacefully to be with our Lord surrounded by her loved ones at her bedside on September 26, 2024. Ann was preceded by her parents, Joseph and Ocie Lee, her husband, James A. Vickery and her sister, Faye Blair. Ann is survived by her three children, Keith Bradley, Julie Vickery Stofko and Amy Vickery Cline, four grandchildren Jenna Socci, Kris Bradley, Louis Nemec and Rebekah Swanson and seven great grandchildren Sawyer Socci, Baylor Socci, Nora Bradley, Charlotte Bradley, Sophie Bradley, Louis Nemec the 5th, and Emily Swanson who all gave Ann so much joy and she was so proud of her family. Ann was a beacon of light leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. Ann walked through this life with a gentle strength touching the lives of everyone she encountered with an unforgettable grace. A native of Atlanta, she married James A. Vickery in 1959, and they were married 54 years until his passing in 2013. Ann was devoted to her family and her most cherished memories were with her three children and when her grandchildren and great grandchildren would visit and spend wonderful times with her in her home. She was a wonderful loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and great Grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining many friends playing her piano and enjoyed singing along with her 2 daughters and her son while playing piano. Ann and her late husband James enjoyed music, lots of traveling, cruising on cruise ships and enjoyed cooking fabulous meals with the family and friends. Ann was active in their neighborhood Book Club and looked forward to walking in the neighborhood with friends and worked in various government positions retiring in 1988 from the office of General Counsel Department of Health and Human Services in Atlanta Georgia. Ann spent many enjoyable hours with her only late sister, Faye Blair of Marietta GA who passed away in 2018. Ann graduated from O'Keefe high school in Atlanta in 1951 and played cello in the Orchestra, earning a letter and also a letter in girls' basketball. She was elected Homecoming Queen in Highschool. Ann also really enjoyed playing the piano and gave lessons over 22 years. She was active in Rainbow Park Baptist church located in Decatur, Georgia and at Prospect Methodist church located in Covington, GA. where she and her late husband Jim led a couples Sunday school class for over 10 years. Ann had a deep faith in our Lord and Savior. Ann's beautiful presence touched so many lives. 'In the hearts of many who loved her', Ann will always be treasured forever in our memory and may she rest peacefully the arms of angels. Memorial gifts or flowers can be made at Prospect Methodist Oak Hill Church, located at 6752 Hwy 212: Covington, GA 30016. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Prospect Methodist Oak Hill Church. beginning at 3:30 pm with a visitation prior to the service at 2 pm.
