Felton Dutton Jr

Felton Lafayette Dutton, Jr, age 82 of Eatonton, Georgia died Tuesday, April 16, 2024. He is preceded in death by his father, Felton Dutton, Sr, mother, Grace Dutton and brother, Jackie Dutton. He is survived by his wife of over 64 years, Carolyn Dutton, sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Johnny Archer; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Toney McCullers, son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Jennie Dutton, son Keith Dutton and Jennifer Dixon; grandsons Austin and Kelli McCullers, Tanner McCullers, Chase and Katie McCullers, Hunter Dutton and Katie Pippin , Ian Dutton and Heaven McLaughlin, Will and Melissa Dutton, Jackson Dutton and Eli Dutton; great-grandchildren, Addy, Hayden, Easton, Marlie, Harper, Fin, Skylar and Oakley McCullers; Many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Felton loved spending time with his family. He also loved his Lab, Georgia, who he would sneak food to under the table while she laid by his feet. He loved to fish and hunt, and he loved his Wild Rose Farm. He loved Hawaii and classic cars and car shows. Felton had numerous cars and trucks over the years, but his favorite was his black '55 Chevrolet. Felton graduated from Lithonia High School. He then worked for Sears on Ponce De Leon and Jefferson Street for eight years. He was a trim carpenter for Ray Jones, Inc. who started him in the home building business in 1970. He built custom homes in DeKalb, Rockdale, Newton, and the Lake Oconee area where he was a respected home builder for over 30 years. He built hundreds of homes during this time with many of his clients becoming lifelong friends. Felton was also a Life-Long Member of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association. He bought property in Putnam County and created Wild Rose Farm where he raised Limousin cattle. His bottle-fed bull, Booger, is going to miss his head rubs. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Scot Ward Funeral Services in Conyers, GA. His celebration of life will follow at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to a reception at the family home following at Wild Rose Farm, 154 Little Circle, Eatonton, GA.
