In Loving Memory of John "Bo" Flanders It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bo Flanders, a beloved husband, father, friend, grandfather, and community pillar. Bo departed this dimension on September 8, 2023 at the age of 90, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication. Bo was born on April 1, 1933 in Fitzgerald, Georgia and spent a lifetime spreading joy and goodwill to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a beacon of light in our lives, always ready with a smile and a helping hand. Bo's deep sense of compassion was evident in his involvement in his church, where he was fully committed to spreading the love of God to everyone he encountered. As a loving husband to Shirley for 67 years, Bo's marriage was a shining example of commitment, respect, and love. He cherished every moment spent with his family, including his children, Debye, Robby, and Kenny, who were a source of immense pride and joy. He was the best Papa in the world to his grandchildren, Judah, Jonah, Lauren, KJ, and Candace, and they will carry him in their hearts forever. In his professional life, Bo was a dedicated mechanic and could fix just about anything he put his hands on. Bo served his country in the armed forces as a young man and took pride in his service. Bo had a passion for the outdoors. Whether he was fishing, gardening, or mowing the lawn, he approached life with an attitude of gratitude that inspired those around him. Bo's departure leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives, but his memory will forever remain in our hearts. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and grace that will continue to inspire us all. A memorial service to celebrate Bo's life will be held on September 23, 2023 at The Movement Church: 2431 Iris Drive SE, Conyers, GA, 30013. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St. Jude's, a cause close to Bo's heart. As we bid farewell to John "Bo" Flanders, we remember the indelible mark he left on our lives and the countless lives he touched.
