Ralph Randall 'Randy' Ellington, a resident of Monroe, Georgia, passed away on June 4th, 2023, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, surrounded by his loving family. Randy, aged 63, was born on January 15th, 1960, in LaGrange, Georgia, to his parents, Jimmie Earl Ellington and Helene Dianne Nall Ellington, who preceded him in death. Randy's dedication to hard work, his unwavering commitment to his family, and his playful spirit left an enduring mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Tiffany Ellington Hill, and son-in-law Matthew Hill, along with his adored grandson, MJ, whom he loved dearly. Also left to mourn his passing are his partner, Teresa Thacker, beloved brother, Jimmie Scott Ellington, and sister-in-law Mary Lynn Ellington, as well as his niece, Lauren Ellington Whitehurst, and her husband John Whitehurst. From an early age, Randy exhibited a remarkable sense of diligence and an unwavering work ethic. His commitment to excellence was evident in everything he pursued. Even in his early years, Randy's kindergarten teacher described him as 'most co-operative and helpful.' She further commended his work, noting that it was always 'nicely done,' and emphasized that he 'made every effort to do his work well.' This trait of diligence and hard work remained with him throughout his life, earning him the admiration and respect of all who knew him. Following in his father's footsteps, Randy began his professional journey in the manufacturing industry, where his contributions were recognized and valued. In later years, Randy found his true calling in the water treatment industry, where he excelled with his expertise and meticulous attention to detail. His dedication to his craft and the relentless pursuit of quality set him apart as a true professional. While Randy was known for his strong work ethic, he was equally celebrated for his playful nature and excellent sense of humor. He had a knack for finding joy in the simplest of moments and could always be relied upon to lighten the mood. Randy's laughter was infectious, and his clever wit brought smiles and warmth to the hearts of those around him. Beyond his professional and family life, Randy enjoyed a range of hobbies and interests that enriched his days. He had a passion for cooking, and he found joy in creating delicious meals for his loved ones. Randy's culinary skills were matched only by his ability to create an atmosphere filled with laughter. Randy will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, his ability to bring joy through humor, and the love he bestowed upon his family and friends. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who carry his memory, and his playful essence will forever be a cherished part of those who had the privilege of knowing him. The family will receive friends Friday, June 9th at Scot Ward Funeral Home in Conyers, Ga, beginning at 10am. A service to celebrate Randy's life will take place at 12pm.
