Ann Guthrie O'Neill

Ann Guthrie O’Neill, age 84 of Loganville, died Friday, January 1, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Clifford O'Neill; parents, Edward Clifford Guthrie and Bessie Lee Guthrie. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Perry Acuff, Loganville; grandchildren, Katelyn and Nathan Boyd, Social Circle, Shelley and Pete Flemming, Monroe; great-grandchildren, Samuel Boyd, Benjamin Boyd, Joel Flemming, Colin Flemming, and two on the way. Ann was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family, friends and church. She was an enthusiastic crafter who could knit, crochet, quilt, sew and cross stitch and teach other people as well. She was a lifelong Christian, a former member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church where she sang in the choir for many years, and has been a member of Corinth Christian Church since moving to Monroe in 1996. Beginning in 2004 she enjoyed volunteering 4,000 hours at Walton Regional and Clearview Hospitals. While she was a resident at Great Oaks Assisted Living she enjoyed making new friends and participating in all the activities, especially arts and crafts, Bingo and Rummikub. Private graveside services will be held with a public celebration of life service to be held at a later date.
