Dorothy Jean Ward, age 91 of Decatur, died Saturday, July 18, 2020. Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Alvor Ward; parents, Francis and Odessa Jordan. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Vivian Ward, Bobby and Jill Ward, Eddie and Judith Ward, Jim and Kelly Ward; step-daughter and husband, Louisa and Leland Moffitt; grandchildren, Shane, Ryan, Katie, Jody, Daniel, Patrick; step-grandson and wife, Will and Lindsey Moffitt; great-grandchildren; Hailey, Damien, Tristen, Jaelynn, Olivia, Penelope, Killian, Esmond; sister, Mary Lou Jones; special friend, P.J. McNeil. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with interment at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Jean was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Bridge. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
