George Calvin Hammonds, age 78 of Conyers, died Tuesday, June 21, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Joan Hammonds; parents, George and Mary Hammonds. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, George and Rhema Hammonds; brother, William Hammonds; grandchildren, Arielle Hammonds, Kaleigh Hammonds; great-grandchild, Bellami Frye; and nephew, Buddy Hammonds. He served in the United States Army and Air Force. George retired from Consolidated Freight Lines and loved playing poker. A Gathering will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Scot Ward Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a local Veterans organization.
