George Montique Henry, age 76 of Conyers, died Wednesday, June 15, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Claudette Henry; daughters, Georgette Henry, Allison Henry, Christine Henry; 5 grandchildren, Donald, Kaylia, Adora, Madison, Gemma. brothers: John Henry, Donald Henry, Neville Henry, sisters: Monica Francis, Claudette Barham, Patricia J. Henry, Juliet Stoddart, Betty Smith, Sharron Slack, Michelle Ramjust; numerous nieces and nephews. George Montique Henry was a kind and loving husband to his wife of 56 years. A wonderful father to his three daughters and an amazing grandfather to his grandchildren. He was ambitious and an achiever, which inspired his daughters and grandchildren to follow in his footsteps. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling with his family discovering new places. He had many hobbies which included gardening, wood working, welding, and fixing cars. He especially liked cooking, and would cook a variety of outstanding breakfast meals on Saturday mornings for his grandchildren. He was an impeccable dresser, always looking distinguished in his Sunday suits with his famous part on the right side of his hair. He had a delightful sense of humor and insightful words of wisdom. George Henry worked for Consolidated Edison Company of New York, retiring after 23 years of service. He was loved and respected by his co-workers. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Elder Oscar McLean officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens.
