Jane Vaughn Jones Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jane Vaughn Jones, age 83 of Conyers, died Sunday, July 3, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Frank Sloan Jones; granddaughter, Katie Smith; parents, Roy and Martha Vaughn; brother, Joe Vaughn; sisters, Ruth Pugh and Norma Henderson. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Tanya Jones Smith, Sandy Cantrel, Leslie Jones, Heather and Todd Richardson; grandchildren, Casey and Angela Tilson, Jared and Michelle Tilson, Josh and Hollie Smith, Hannah and Eric Mozzone, Sloan Young, Caden Richardson, Merritt Richardson, Harper Richardson; great-grandchildren, Ansley, Carlie, Gentrie, Charlee, Gannon, Briggs, Violet, Nora, Allie; and sister, Annette Jones. Jane and her husband, Frank, had what one would describe as a perfect marriage. They loved their daughters and grandchildren fiercely. She graduated from Union County High School in South Carolina and retired in 2002 from the Atlanta office of Kroger where she was the seafood and meat buyer. She was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church in Conyers and more recent a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones enjoyed reading and cooking and everyone always loved her biscuits. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Pastor Brandon Stanley and Rev. Preston Sanders officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
