Lewis Adrian Harper, Jr.

February 13, 1940 - October 29, 2021

Lewis A. Harper Jr. was born February 13, 1940 and passed away October 29, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Virginia; his daughter, Adrienne Harper (Scott) and daughter and son in law, Melissa & Sonny Page; four grandsons, Tyler Page (Haley), Dylan Harper, Joshua Cartee and Seth Page (Emma). He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis A. Harper Sr. & Viola Harper and brother, Gerald Harper Sr. Lewis grew up in Lithonia GA, and then attended Mount Berry School for Boys in Rome, Georgia where he graduated in 1958. He was in the Army serving time at Fort Carson, Colorado. After that time, he returned to Georgia and has been a long-time resident of Conyers and a member of Milstead Baptist Church. Many also grew to know Lewis from his love of baseball and softball. For many years he coached, scored, and umpired games around Rockdale and surrounding counties. He was retired and enjoyed watching his grandson's games, band concerts, and playing trivia with friends. Visitation service will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., with memorial service held after at 11:00 a.m. at Milstead Baptist Church, 1613 Main Street NE Conyers, GA 30012. Service will be officiated by Reverend Douglas Craver. Condolences may be submitted on-line at www.scotward.com.
