Selma Eugenia Shaw

Selma Eugenia Shaw, age 89 of Conyers, died Saturday, April 23, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Shaw; daughter, Kathy Shaw; father, Robert Henry Pickens; mother, Selma Jane Pickens; brothers, Bob Pickens, Bill 'Snook' Pickens, Morris Pickens, Jack Pickens, Doug Pickens; and sister, Rachel Mashburn. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Art Hargrove, Rebecca and Steve Laughlin, Angela and Gary Bryant; grandchildren, Mollie and Jeremy Pope, Jesse Laughlin, Danielle and Zach Carey, Dillon Bryant, Ryan Hargrove, Hannah Hargrove; great-grandchildren, Jack Pope, Bennett Carey, and Anders Carey. Eugenia was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She was known for her sweet smile and kind heart. Her gift of hospitality served others well through her years at Decatur Presbyterian Church as a hostess. Baking and cooking for family and friends gave her great joy, and her joy was contagious. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Crossroads United Methodist Church with David Collins officiating; interment will follow at East View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, May 2, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Scot Ward�s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude.
