Carolyn Biggers Frey

Carolyn Biggers Frey was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose greatest joy in life was her family. Her heart belonged to her loving husband, Steven Frey, their eight incredible children, and her fantastic grandchildren. Her life was a testament to the power of love, selflessness, and unwavering support for those she cherished most. She was born on January 15, 1941, in Conyers, GA and she transitioned to Heaven on February 9, 2025, surrounded by her family. Carolyn's legacy of love and kindness lives on through her husband, Steve Frey, and their beautiful children and their spouses, JaNice and Ken Van Ness, Stephanie MaDora Frey, Elisa and Ryan Jackson, Henry Frey, Adam and Janet Frey, Samantha Frey Adams, and Alexis and Stephen Adams. She leaves behind grandchildren to cherish her memory, who were the light of her life: Lawson Van Ness, Samantha (Van Ness) and Jackson Jones, Emerson Van Ness, Presley Adams, Walker Adams, Waylon Jackson, Finn Jackson, Charleigh Frey, Olivia Frey, Addie Frey, Barrett Frey, Avery Adams, Nena Adams, Turner Adams, and Alec Adams. Each carries forward her legacy of love, kindness, and strength. Her brother, Pierce Biggers, will continue to share his fond memories of their childhood growing up in Conyers. She was the matriarch of the family who championed "loving each other" and wanted nothing but time together for all of them to foster their bonds, enjoy great food, and make cherished memories. Carolyn was a champion for her family's endeavors and loved to support their efforts. Carolyn's faith was an important part of her life. She loved Rockdale Baptist and encouraged others to find a church where their spirit could thrive. She never met a stranger and greeted everyone with warmth, laughter, and a story to brighten their day. She was a champion for children, and an admirer of the arts. . A native of Conyers, GA, Carolyn was a high school Majorette, was a beauty queen who enjoyed pageants and the beautiful dresses her mom would make for them. She was named Miss Forestry and won other titles. Carolyn knew everybody in town and had so many great stories that she could tell about Conyers. She was deeply committed to her community and treasured lifelong friendships with Martha Jane Hinton, Anrie Kent, Ann McCurdy, Marie Stewart, and had so many special relationships with friends through the years. She was known for her generosity and investing in the community. She was the first employee of Madison Industries in 1962 where she met Steven. She had several businesses throughout her career ranging from her water filtration store, tennis shop, and stone company to owning Kids R Kids Preschool in 1982 in Conyers. She then bought Kids R Kids Preschool in 1982, where she created a joyful learning environment, leaving an indelible mark on generations of children. She was passionate about tennis and enjoyed coaching all their children in soccer at RYSA-the Rockdale Youth Soccer Association. Some of her favorite hobbies were sewing clothes for her and her children and supporting her children and their various activities through the years. Carolyn is now celebrating in Heaven, rejoicing alongside her precious son, Zachary Madison Frey, her beloved parents, Jewel Mae Biggers and Rosvel Biggers, and her friend Emmer Usher Turner. She loved a good Coke with lots of ice, peanuts, a great movie, and, most of all, the warmth of family. Carolyns zest for life was contagious, and her radiant spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her freedom from a body of sickness and her presence with the Lord brings comfort. She greatly appreciated Novalette, Amy, and Cathy who shared special time with her and helped provide comfort during her later years. Friday, 2/14 Visitation at Scot Ward's from 4 pm to 7 pm Saturday, 2/15, Visitation will be held at Rockdale Baptist at 10:30 am with a Homegoing celebration of life to follow at 12. A private burial will be held on Sunday 2/16 at 2 pm at Eastview Cemetery in Conyers.
