Ellon Louise Weeks It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ellon Louise Weeks, who departed this world on March 11, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on September 13, 1936, Ellon was a cherished daughter of J.D. and Ethel Driver. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and the joy of family, and she leaves behind a rich legacy that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Ellon was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 57 years, Charles Edward Weeks, Sr., who was her best friend. She also mourned the loss of her brother, John David Driver, and was heartbroken by the passing of her grandson, Michael Scott Oncay, and great-granddaughter, Maisey Jo Kersey. These losses shaped her life, yet she remained a beacon of strength for her family. She is survived by her loving children: Steve and Melody Vermeulen, Denise Lovell, Charles, Jr. and Brenda Weeks, Cheryl and John Oncay, Debra and Jimmy Kersey, and Janel and Kelcey Harder. Ellon was a proud grandmother to 16 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy. Ellon was blessed with the support and companionship of her brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Janet Driver, and Nick and Natasha Driver, who shared in her laughter and cherished memories. Throughout her life, Ellon was surrounded by numerous friends who admired her infectious spirit and unwavering kindness. Beyond her familial bonds, Ellon was a dedicated member of her community. She actively participated in organizations such as the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion. Her commitment to service and support for veterans exemplified her generous heart and her desire to give back to those who served. Ellon found joy in the simplest of pleasures. Food was a source of happiness for her, and she loved gathering her family around the table for meals that were as much about togetherness as they were about nourishment. An avid crafter and scrapbooker, Ellon filled her home with creativity, often using her iPad to play games that kept her mind sharp and her spirit lively. Those who knew her would describe Ellon as a great storyteller, capable of weaving tales that captivated her audience, often eliciting laughter or a fond reminiscence. She lived for her family and her pets, providing a nurturing and loving environment where memories were made and cherished. Ellon Louise Weeks was a remarkable woman whose legacy will live on through her family and friends. Her laughter, warmth, and generosity will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those she touched. As we say goodbye, we celebrate her life-a life filled with love, family, and beautiful memories that will forever resonate in our souls. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Chaplain Michael Dover officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
