Mable E Sanderson

Mable Elizabeth McCain Sanderson, age 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in Marietta, Georgia. She was born on October 25, 1940, in Reidsville, North Carolina, in Rockingham County, to Edward McCain and Rosie Mae Henderson McCain. Mable graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Reidsville, North Carolina, in June 1960 and later moved to New York City, where she began her career at Harlem Hospital as a Certified Nurse Assistant. In 1965, she pursued business school with a focus on secretarial studies, where she mastered skills, such as typing, shorthand, business correspondence, filing and record keeping, telephone etiquette, and basic bookkeeping. On April 3, 1971, Mable married Webster Dean Sanderson, and together they built a loving and nurturing life until his passing on July 1, 1984. Mable was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. On March 23, 1974, Mable was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her unwavering faith in Jehovah God and Jesus Christ brought her great joy, and she was an active and cherished member of the Fair Oaks congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Marietta, Georgia. Mable also found happiness in bowling, gardening, cooking, playing Scrabble, and volunteering in the ministry, but her greatest love was spending time with her family. She leaves to cherish her memory: Her children: Nortosha Sanderson, LaWanda Sanderson Phillip (Otis Phillip), and Deidra Sanderson. Her grandchildren: Tiara Sanderson, Tazhaun Sanderson, Talaysia Sanderson, Tatiyanna Sanderson Bennett Bey, Tristian Huff, Xjavier Taylor, Sharmal Phillip (Dian Gopie Phillip), Shadia Carrington Phillip, Olivia Phillip and Lauren Phillip. Her great-grandchildren: Saliah Richardson, Kingston Sanderson, Zavia Sanderson, La'Niya Sanderson Brown, Ni'Laeya Sanderson Brown, Kalani Taylor, Devin Phillip, Kevin Phillip, Shawn Carrington Barrow, and Sania Carrington Barrow, Her siblings: Louise McCain, William McCain (deceased Nellie McCain) Pearline McCain Crawford (deceased Joseph Crawford), Rachel McCain Cargill (Seaton Cargill), John McCain (deceased Nettie McCain), Peggy McCain McCoy (Ellington McCoy), Shirley McCain Miller (deceased Constance Miller), Dorothy McCain Brown (deceased Fred Brown), and Wanda Gail McCain Neal (Wilbert Neal), along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Mable was preceded in death by: Her husband: Webster Sanderson Her parents: Edward McCain and Rosie Mae Henderson McCain Her siblings: Edward McCain Jr., Joseph Wright, James McCain, William P. McCain, Lillie McCain, Betty Holloway, Mamie Tatum, Clarence Junior McCain, Mary McCain Roberts, Squire McCain, Alonzo McCain, Moses McCain, Otis McCain, Robert McCain, Wilbert McCain, Ida McCain Jones, and Cora McCain Mobley. Her grandchild: Trever Sanderson A celebration of Mable's life will be held on: Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM Beau La Vie 211 S. Scales Street Reidsville, NC 27320 Mable's legacy of love, compassion, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Mable's favorite scripture was Revelation 21:3-4 (New World Translation): 3 "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: 'Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
