Born on October 26, 1941, in Snellville, Georgia, Vivian was a beacon of love and wisdom to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Vivian was the cherished daughter of John and Sarah Broadnax, who instilled in her the values of kindness, resilience, and grace that she carried throughout her life. She grew up surrounded by a loving family, including her siblings Johnny Broadnax, Dorothy Moss, Charles Broadnax, E.V. Broadnax, and Idus Broadnax, all of whom predeceased her, leaving behind cherished memories of a close-knit family bond. Vivian's life was a testament to the enduring power of love and commitment. She shared 51 beautiful years of marriage with her soulmate, Cecil Bruce, before his passing. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with laughter, learning, and unconditional love. Vivian was a devoted mother to her sons, Randy Bruce, Toney Bruce, and Barry Bruce, and her late daughter, Michelle Bruce. Her role as a mother was one she embraced with unwavering devotion, and she extended that love to her daughters-in-law, Barbara Bruce and Tracy Bruce, who became a cherished member of the family. The legacy of Vivian's love and wisdom continues through her 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her family was her greatest joy, and she delighted in every opportunity to support, guide, and celebrate her loved ones. Vivian's home was always a haven of warmth and hospitality, a place where all were welcome to gather and create lasting memories. Vivian was predeceased by several beloved family members, including her grandson, Travis Bruce. Though their absence was deeply felt, she found solace in the richness of the memories they shared and the enduring spirit they left behind. Throughout her life, Vivian was known for her compassion, resilience, and unwavering faith. She possessed a quiet strength that inspired those around her and a gentle spirit that brought comfort to many. Her kindness and generosity were boundless, and she touched countless lives with her acts of selflessness and love. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Bruce and Rev. Roger Barrett officiating.
